It'd be the first one I've ever seen!

Archtop Rhoads (first), CS order from a JCF local here, pretty sweet pics on that on here!
You took too much, man. Too much. Too much.

          thank you bro!
          that's close enough to a CT-KV2.
I was just wondering how they would carve the two shoulders and if the edges of the carve are stright and sharp like the lines on a KV. I like what I see.

and here's what I am thinking about. I've been asking question around here about a korina KV2. What I have now is a CS SLS in wine red I bought from the musiczoo. I love it to death. But when I play it and my washburn idol WI68 with carved maple top the tone just has so much balls. so I am thinking about a kv2 with LP-ish wood config, i.e. mahogany neck and body and jackson's thick maple carved top, but with 24 frets. since kv doesn't have a cutaway the neck will be kinda short and strong, like a real paul!
and I don't mind being the first ever, either.

Funny, I really wanted to do this same thing a while ago. But as a dinky-ish roundhorn V. ...Not gonna happen now.

No, it would be a backwards original Carvin Ultra V!

Me too! They did pointy bodies like that afterwards. Jackson did at least one custom Rhoads like that as well.

A roundhorn RR would just look wrong, IMHO.

And, oh BTW. I meant a soft archtop for my custom V idea. Not a carved top. Similar concept, though.

Jeez how old is that ultra V? I've never seen one like that before, but I've only been playing guitar since 1994.

                              speaking of carvin neck thrus,
I just sold one on the bay. great guitar, I just wanted something different.
but I have to say carvin neck thrus sound more like neck thrus than jacksons.
i.e. the peak in the mids seems to be higher.
the two jackson soloists I have played, one is mine and one isn't, both have more bottem so more set-neck-ish, if you know what I mean.
gawd, I wish they keep the price level of CS so I can afford one in the near future.
