  • Hey voyager100,
I have the same Rhoads with the MOP inlays on the body. It is such a sick guitar. I got it about a year ago at Wild West Guitars.

Glad to find out who the other owner is!
I've seen pictures of that one on the Wild West site, thought it might have been mine until someone posted the serial number.

I really enjoy this guitar, the craftsmanship is unreal. It's the only jackson I've seen with inlays in the body. So far my understanding is that there are only the two guitars like this....... Enjoy your guitar!!!!

          • I'm re-hashing this RR1 from January because it is easier for me to find and look at while I am at work, as if I don't get enough time with it when I am home. I really love this guitar, it plays and sounds most excellent. It was my first RR1 and definitely got me off with a bang.

            • Wow. I don't like RR models, but yours is pretty sick.

                      • Nice one.

What strap would you seasoned V and RR users recommend for a black RR1? I was thinking leather.

Well I see your a member of PETA!

I would choose a black strap with a white guitar.

                            • Lol Rupe.

I don't think a white strap looks nice on a black guitar though. Maybe brown? Not sure. Another thing , I've seen people take out tone knobs and leave just the volume? Why and how do you feel the gap? I'm thinking of taking out the volume knob of one of my guitars because it gets in the way when I play.

String thru do have better sustain, and better tone as well I think.
