Here's pro-shot of my dearest baby 1997 USA RR1 - it's not custom shop as it might look like that, but the coloured bevels are home made by myself. Kind of reflective silver sparkle. The rest of the specs is obvious, original FR, EMG 81/85 and beautiful eerie dess swirl - looks like old-fashioned one to me - the newer versions of this finish seem to look different than on this one.
For the first time here on JCF I present RR2772 which is a US custom shop version of the PCS original Rhoads that were avilable around '94-'95.By the time I put the order in during the summer 1996 I had no idea that it would be a custom shop or nothing. It was in the catalogs so it was great surprice when it turned up here in Denmark in December 1996. I have had it ever since and it is still 95% stock. Randy Rhoads was not really the inspiration for buying it either but Kirk Hammett's black Rhoads and I could change pickups + the gold/brass were just as cool to me.Anyway the story before getting RR2772 is posted on the jacksonguitarpalace website:http://jacksonguitarpalace.com/forum...t=8508&start=0
The logo is interesting and I had nothing to do with how it came to look.
