The route is smaller because it originally had a Schaller on it. He's got an Original Floyd on it now which, obviously, has the longer locking pins that extend past the route.

Pretty normal -89 RR; poplar body, 22 medium frets, frontloaded, JT590. Tuned to normal E with .009 strings.

Only specialty is SD Livewire PU's + 2x 9v batteries (placed behind the front control plate).

Thanks Joe. I have a Jackson Schaller on now that fits like a glove.

                        • I wish this guitar was mine...

My father left for the weekend, so I borrowed his KV1 and gave it a little TLC in the form of a restringing, lemon oil, and good set up.

This guitar is very interesting because it has jumbo frets (it was re fretted). It's got a great feel it it, and the neck is a little thicker since it's a later model KV1 (alder body).

I love the headstock on this guitar, it's beautiful.

I actually like the fact that this guitar is broken in, and has some dings on it. It's a great player.

                          - B

It's actually some kind of solution that was applied with in 1/2 cm of each fret. It won't come off. It's like some kind of glue or something.
