  • What years did the USA Soloists get "thinner"

Obviously everythign varies, but is there not a certain period in which Jackson went from thicker to thin?! IE, my 2000 SL2H was fairly thick, and then I had the snakeskin I sold to Ivan that was rather thin... I forget what year it was, but im pretty sure it was newer.

Or are thigns vice versa and they have becme thicker over the years?!? *shrug*

Any input, or has it always been a mixed bag?!

90s have a thinner profile from what I've seen.

Maybe it was me, but my 94 eerie soloist felt thinner than my former kv2 which had the SPEED neck. Both we're nice.

my 88 soloist has a really thin neck profile...it really all depended on what was ordered cause i once owned an 88 snakeskin soloist that had a neck straight off a louisville slugger...the usa series definitely had a thin profile when they came out...d.m.

My June '85 Soloist has a fairly thick profile, about like the San Dimas Rhoads guitars I've played, whereas the other San Dimas Soloists I've played have had more medium-profiled necks--still thicker than what you typically see on Soloists from the '90s and later.
