certainly the most WELL USED jackson I'd scored so far! the kahler is soo forward it isn't funny the paint job is definitely a spray can special....it needs a bit of tlc, but it's still a nice score. LOL there's one big red chip(original color) right on the top of the body. Jani, maybe the thing will go back to the original color hehe! here are a few pics. we're back up to six axes!
it's a different animal just by gentle care and a set-up! cleaned all the crap that was growing on the fingerboard...polished the fretwire, lemon oiled the board(that made a nice difference!) 0000 steel wool'd the back of the neck. set the kahler to my liking and put a set of ernie ball 9's on with an Eb tune. Perfect intonation with minimal hassle. It has a diverse tone, clean or dirty. Not sure which one, but it has a DiMarzio pup in there. I'll have to see which one it is.
It's MUCH better with MY set-up. We'll see if my tech has time to do a fret level/polish and crown. Possibly a neck shim for a little lower action. She's coming along!!
it will be headed out next week to be re-finished.
big thanks to forum member Sanctuary for keeping me up to date on the NEW kahlers. i scored one on ebay(hybrid in chrome) thanks to him as the original needs work.
