Actually, the only negative thing of having a black guitar, is that all those little scratches and swirls are noticeable, at least, much more than on a transparent, metallic, graphic, etc.
Yeah, both my Jackson and Charvel are black... they get fingerprints, swirl marks and all kinds of grime on it real quick. I just got a Kramer Explorer that's metallic black, and it's not so bad, but it still picks up some crap pretty easily.

Yeah, but I think the graphic finishes are a bit harder to find, since most dealers only get some of them, and not the whole line, so if you like a "particular" finish on a USA Select, like for example, you NEED a "shattered glass" graphic for your KV2 or SL1, you should look dealer by dealer to see if they got it, it's not like buying a Gibson or a Fender. I guess?
