    Finish doesn't look right. Pretty sure it was a straight candy red, not a sparkle. Nontheless, that's a damn cool one.

    Looks cool, but why the hell would they use the old screw-in wood posts for the Floyd and the old Floyd nut mounted through the back of the neck?!?

      I agree, Toe. I'd never go back to those old, inferior designs. Some folks are stickler's for spec accuracy, though.

          accuracy??? it should be solid red ??? and for $2,895.00 i'm sure you get one nearer the spec...

          nice guitar but i'd rather get a model 3a body and stick maple boarded neck on it. infact that is my master plan at the moment.. muahahahaa

            his volume knob was black, not chrome. is that floyd(pictured) chrome???

                            The ad says Vai played all the guitar parts in the climactic ending scene, which is accurate. Cooder did all the slide parts throughout the movie, but the end - from the time they entered Hell to the point where Vai dropped his guitar and walked off - was all Vai.
