Does this timeframe seem realistic?

I've received customs in as little as 6 months and as long as 18. IMHO, you should not expect it in "5 to 8 months". Probably not realistic, even if the dealer is hearing that from J/C directly. Most of my customs were completed in the 12 to 15 month range. And that's 12-15 after the work order was finalized, not just the price quote.

As Shreddermon says, 12-15 months seems the 'average' whatever delivery date is quoted.....

Right before Christmas, I was curious about a quote for a Custom Archtop Star with some pretty wild options. I was told it would take 4 to 9 months.

Well, I'm going to bite the bullet, I'll try and put an update on this site when the guitar is delivered, that is, unless I forget 20 months from now. Thanks.

I don't know, maybe some dealers take priority and get stuff quicker?
