  • 2002 DCGL Dinky Custom?

Hello all, I have a chance to buy a 2002 DCGL Dinky Custom. Does anyone have any info on these guitars? I heard that they only made like 30 for DCGL? what are they worth now?

I remember those, I think they were an archtop guitar. I used to have pics of them a long time ago, but have no clue where they are now.

it's either bolt-on or neckthrough... can't be both. If it's a Dinky it's more likely to be bolt-on right?

IIRC, Dinky strat bodies, archtop w/flame maple top, 2 hum (Duncans), TOM string-through, birdseye maple necks, rosewood fretboards with pirhana (mini sharkfin) inlays. Done in trans black, root beer, and a third color that escapes my memory.

They weren't exactly popular. Towards the end, DCGL was blowing out the last few at just above dealer cost. Rare does not always = valuable.

Pirana inlays right? I'd say that if you like the guitar and it's in good condition, then 800 is a good price...

yes, there were 30 of these archtop dinky's made in 3 available finishes.

actually, 31, because they did a one-off in glow in the dark finish and EMG 25th anniv set.. happens to be mine
