Ok
So, here's what I think that Jackson should do to make a good guitar even better.
1) Why the SAME pups all the time? I think they should offer some aggresive pups on their "aggresive line", meaning: KELLY, KING V, RHOADS AND WARRIOR (oh wait, Warrior is ok on that department.) I thinking EMG's will ROCK (and now the're even more popular and anyways most people are installing them on their guitars, specially if they look "metal") or if they have some kinda "deal" with Seymour Duncan then maybe they should try using a DUNCAN DISTORTION for a change, I mean, most of the Jackson users eventually upgrade the softy JB.
2) They should make the Rhoads standard with 24 frets. (USA, same model, not a "special edition")
3) They should make the King V with JUMBO frets (Dunlop 6100) and of course a 3 WAY TOGGLE SWITCH (hello? Dave Mustaine is no longer with you, why keep his specs??).
4) They should have all their neck-through guitars made with a non-scarf-joint neck, either a 3 or 2 piece module.
5) Make the transparent finished guitars available with black hardware ALSO (not just chrome).
Last but not least...
6) Upgrade their hardshell cases! They DO suck and they are fragile! Maybe TKL or G&G, even Gibsons on the 1 grand side have TKL's and I find 'em superior to the current SKB's.
That's it basically, I think. A word to the guys at Jackson: people love your guitars because of the quality, looks but mainly because they have lots of modifications already built in the guitars. So, MORE people will actually buy MORE guitars if you beef 'em up a little in the features department together with that PRICE INCREASE, which to many people including me, is just a "strategy" to get people to say "wow, if it costs more, it sure MUST be better than others", while that may be true, a lot of guitarrists out there do appreciate the instrument's value more than it's costs. Sure, increase the price but upgrade them a little, those features I just posted upstairs are common here in this forum at least, and I'm sure a lot of other players understand them and will like them.
Now, as far as some more "personal" preferences, I'd like to be able to get a Mahogany version of the King V (but not the KV2T), a regular one, with the floyd, the regular headstock, etc, just a regular KV2 but made in mahogany (also this would go for the KELLY, RHOADS, WARRIOR and you already have it in the SOLOIST as the SL2HMAH), sure, at a higher price, but, at least it will be there, don't make people spend 5 grand just for a wood change (not even an exotic wood).
