Short scale offerings.
1 Hum offerings.
Maple/Black Sharkie offerings
More Mahogany offerings(all mahogany)
Non-Recessed Floyds
Kahler Pros
Better case.
I would love these offerings, but with all of the price changes, I probably wouldn`t buy one anyway. I just want to say I paid $1200 out the door for a new Black SL2H back in either 2002 or 2003. Since then selects have gone up by 15% and Customs by who knows, 20-30% or?? I think the prices are getting out of control for Jacksons. Some feel different, I speak with my wallet. Jack.

Oh yeah, I remember the days when I first got my "real" guitar around 1998, a Gibson Flying V '67. It was like 1200 bucks inc. taxes or so. I was... SO sorry to hear that a King V costed the same... bummer. Thing is I was "blinded" by Gibson, like, before that V I had a crappy Ibanez RG270 and my guitar knowledge was "dude, I gotta get that guitar James Hetfield is playing on the Cliff 'em all video!", so yeah... I missed the Jacksons. When I got back to PERU (yeah, I bought the guitar in Miami), I was like.... DAMN!

Once I owned Gibson M-III. It was H-S-H it could be switched between H-H (switching scheme: B, B+N, N, N wired out-o-phase, kill position) and S-S-S (coil taps, Strat scheme) modes. I ended up wiring it in usual H-S-H fashion.Last edited by Carbophos; 02-24-2007, 03:45 PM.Because I don't say it

I agreeh the JB isnt what most jackson players are after, although its a good pick up. The EMGs have a cleaner look i think and fit better with guitars such as RRs

LEOKV2 nailed two of my biggest gripes right away in the first post. Something other than the JB/59 combo on USA selects. EMGs or a more aggressive Duncan (like the Distortion) if they want to stay passive. Especially on the pointy, "aggressive" guitars - KE2, RR1, KV2. And, please, put proper jumbo frets on the KV2. Every other Jackson has them.
As much as I like rear-loaded, 24 fret RRs, I don't think they'll make them standard on USA selects because that's not the original design. But they now have some other RRs with one or both features (RR24 and KB).Unleash the fury.....Texas style!
