OK, this is the third time I've tried to get my SL2H. The first one was a gunmetal grey guitar on Ebay. Paypal changed the buyer protection from $2000 to $1000 after the end of the auction. Crazy. Then I E-mail the guy and it takes him 11 days to respond. He then files a complaint agianst me for not buying the guitar. I had a bad feeling about it anyway.
So I order another one, a BGF this time. I got it from musicians friend. I price match it, so it was a decent price. I get it and it plays great, like the others I have played in the past. Only the pole pieces don't line up with the strings and the strings are shifted to the treble side of the fretboard. The E string would fall off the edge of the fretboard. That was annoying.
Reluctantly, I sent it back. MF was supposed to have a replacement coming in, but they sold in between the time I returned it and they "processed it". Gzzzz. Now I'm starting to get mad.
So, I went to a local guitar shop (1 hr. drive) to look/play another one. I couldn't help myself. I bought it. I've missed that guitar since the day I sent it back. Even with the defects. I'm so happy to have one back! IT makes my Ibanez guitars seem like poo.
