  • Found this photo of my Jackson #1010

This is IIRC my 1986? Jackson bolt-on in Gun Metal Grey w/chrome Kahler & hardware.Photo was taken in 88' thus the pink shirt (LOL). I bought it used from Drome Sound in Sch'dy,NY. I called Jackson back then and they told me the year, color and it was made of Poplar.. .the guy said "its a medium weight wood w/great sustain", Humbucker was a J-90C I think.
So I thought id share it with all you guys on here,Old School baby Is it true the serial #'s started at 1000? I cant confirm that, but for some reason was told that.
So having my brand new San Dimas is a great feeling and feel like I was meant to have it,the neck feels identical too. I remember the headstock had the 1/16" plastic laminate over the wood, which they dropped soon there after and the Jackson logo was also changed, cant remeber the details, but most of my friends had tham and we would compare them. Enjoy. ***Notice the allen key in the headstock between the strings?

Cool pic. I was thinking that the dude in the pic was still stuck in the 80s. Then I read what you wrote.
