    King V.

    -Looks more complete
    -Better balance
-You can put the lower wing between your leggs and hold the guitar vertically while playing a solo.

I have a RR, but I have to say, shape wise I prefer the V...
The Rhoads balances badly because I can't support it against my leg with the lower fin.

        Tone-wise they are pretty close.

Overall I prefer the look and feel of Rhoads. Though 22 vs 24 frets may be critical for some people, if it is going to be main or even the only one guitar.
Playing seated is not the issue for me. Using strap while seated helps a lot, a simple idea but so many people can't get it for whatever reason.
        Because I don't say it
        Doesn't mean I ain't thinking it

I never played a KV, but I have two RRs and they're the best guitar for playing when seated down! I think that longer KV would interfere with your leg when playing sitting, but I'm not sure on that.
They both look cool and I'd get both if I could!

I noticed that too. It's kinda strange because strap really does nothing in that position, but it helps a lot.

KV for me. I have had both and I sold my RR. The neck shape on my KV1 is awesome!

The KV is much easier to play sitting. The upper wing sits on top of your leg, and the bottom wing rests against the front of your shin, and the neck just 'floats' in the proper playing position.

Sitting with the Rhoads, you need you to prop your left foot up on something so it is higher than your right foot.

The KV is probably the second best sitting body style. The Warrior is hands down the easiest guitar to play sitting down.

I always play with the strap on, even when sitting down, and it's just perfect. With a KV the bottom wing scratches against the chair and it's annoying.... although i just tried one a few times.

I also play classical guitar so i have footstools everywhere, & i use them with all my guitars except the rhoads

I had an RR1t. Sold it. It was OK but it didn't balance well standing up. It would nose dive a bit.
And it would be nicer without the scratch plate.

I still have my KV1. Fantastic balance. In fact it's my favorite shape.

Well, if you need a trem, either is fine. If you want stop-tail, I'd go with the RR1T. I think I'd go for the KV2 even though I prefer the latter.

Love the King V all the way!

Both are cool guitars and both have HORRIBLE cases! I hardly ever take my V out anymore, the case is just too ignorant.

I like them both as long as they have 24 frets and a floyd. but the jumbo's on the RR feel better. i guess if it came down to it though,,,it would have to be the KV.
,,, Mike you could always send that ignorant case to me,,

I like both. Both balance well, both play well, both look badass. I do like the KV neck profile a bit more than the RR. The KV2T is the best of all tho......
