Normal soloists have alder body right? or basswood... ?

Alder with a maple neck, apart from the SL2H-MAH of course!

Fuller's had two mahogany CS soloists recently, but maybe the trans. blue one has since been sold? Here's the other one:

It's a 24 fret, but short-scale.

If you're willing to settle for 22 frets, then a slatqh would be a lot cheaper (and there still seem to be a few NOS knocking around, if you want a new one).

^ that one is nice just not into the amber color. See thru-black quilt is what I'm looking for.

I've played that one at Fuller's and it isn't that nice, especially for the price tag it holds. It's got some flaws in the binding and such, I dunno, not my thing at all when i played it. That Amber color is a lot nicer in person, I had to admit.
