I smoke, yet I can smell the stench of my friend's Roscoe Strat. I think it's that he spends too much time on his LP, whilst his Roscoe sits there gathering condensation and damp from his crap room.

If you got one of those bowling-hot-air-steamer-things (what ever they are called), that will work well on the case...
but not use it on the guitar though
