  • What pickups are you using in your floyd equipped v's?

I have a jb in the bridge and a 59 in the neck in my kv2. Looking to see what other people have in their v's to possibly get some ideas.

I have EMG-81 on KV-2 and Jackson J-50BC on RR Custom. I used to have JB on KV-2 but for some reason it didn't work at all. Amp is Savage 120

In my old KV2 I had dual EMG 81s.. the ultimate combo.

In my KV2 I got dual EMG 81's. Before EMG's, (JB, Jazz) my KV-2 sounded like a plain Ibanez.

In my Rhoads I had a Dimebucker in the bridge, and GFS Crunchy PAF in the neck. Great combo.

In my Aria Pro II Custom X I have GFS Crunchy PAF in both positions. Sounds killer, and does Megadeth to a tee.

Most of my XTRRs have EMGs - either 81s or 85s, but my Spitz guitar has old-ish Duncans and Cptn USA has a Jackson pickup (which sounds like ass!).

                          KV2 and KV4: EMG81&85
                          Epiphone: EMG81's

                          Both combo's work great!

I have Dimarzio Evolutions in my RR1 and I think they sound great. Best pickups I've ever used.
I'm not afraid to bleed, but I won't do it for you.

Like my KV-2 with JB, Jazz...I don't know why that combination didn't work as they work great with RR.
