A while ago they had that limited run of Kellys with flames and tribals, that one looked really great, but I don't dig it on the soloist. The Tribal is to round (there are more edges on the kelly-tribal).

Call me retarded but it kind of looks like the Motorhead graphic w/o the skull (the shape anyway). Probably just me though. Not a good look for a soloist. Maybe without the flames on a solid color ...Comment

I really like that graphic.
Without the tribal giving that "pinstripe" effect, the flames would lose some of their impact I think.
And yeah, the girl is pretty smoking too

That one has been listed a bunch of times. Honestly it just doesn't do much for me at all. Mixing the green in there just throws it off to me. Don't get me wrong, I'd certainly take the guitar but for that kind of money there are a zillion others I'd pick first.Comment

For what it is worth, there will not be any more guitars with the custom truss rod covers on the guitars that I paint if any at all. I have 11 here at the shop and may be the last Jackson/ Charvel that I paint due to change of regime over there. It has really gotten slim. Those rod covers will be somewhat a collectors item.Custom Guitars, Refinish and restorations.

I am not sure of the logic actually. I wish I really understood. But from what I understand, Mike Eldred wants all the intellectual property to remain with FMIC in regards to any unique paint scheme. This is my take from my meeting with him and a few other new guys holding the ropes. I don't think he wants to get into the situation that they are into with guitars such as the DiMartini's and EVH's. Which I understand. But the only way he would have conflicted is if he had my designs done in house with out my permission. So I am kind of having a difficult time understanding how things went so bad so fast. It really bums me out. I wish I could get a straight answer.
