  • Question about bolt on necks and bodies

Hey hey. Would a San Dimas bolt on guitar have the S/N in the neck pocket and on the neck too? Do the neck plate, neck and bodies all have the number on them? Or would it be just a date? Could they all be different? Thanks.

Generally the neck & bodies have work order numbers on them and not the serial number. The serial number on the neckplate is typically different. But the work order numbers for the body & neck should match.

Thanks. I have one that has the date on the body, the neckplate has that number and the neck has a totally different number. I'm trying to find out if the neck is original or not. It looks like it came with the guitar, but the number are all different.

The work order number should usually be the same or close on the body and neck, though sometimes they're not.

I noticed on mine that there are two numbers on the back of the neck, but the small number is alos in the Khaler trem hole under the clear coat. Anyone else see this before?
