                        Question: What's the point of having binding if you will not be able to see it? (ebony and black binding)? Is binding used for some kind of "structural" purpose or "feel"? Because if it's purely for show, then, the fact that it doesn't show must mean that it's used because of something else, I dunno what that is.

                          I like the feel of a bound neck, which is probably why they had it done in black instead of white.

                            it's a custom......... it doesn't need a point, it needs someone to want it. bound boards are "faster". it is ment so your hands can slide faster with out the fret ends slowing you down.

                              Hmm, I'm not sure really. This one has black binding over the end of the frets which in my opinion gives the fingerboard a sleeker look and kinda melts everything together. Playingwise I wouldn't say there is any major difference. Anyone have a technical explanation for the binding over frets?, I only know that there is an option for it if you order a CS?
