2006 limited run with reverse headstock

I've always wanted a trans black Jackson but never got one because of the chrome hardware on them, just thought it looked too fancy.
Since this is a bit special with the reverse head I bought all black hardware and spent a full night replacing everything so this one should look like no other.
Refinished the metal pickup rings in Black and added EMG -81 and -85 of course.

I did the same thing a few years ago with a Gun Metal SL1. I always liked chrome hardware with the Gun Metal but it came with black stock. I figured it would be cheaper to just order the hardware rather than order what I wanted thru the Custom shop. Your guitar looks great. Love the reverse headstock!

Is that one of the limited runs that Jackson did for Ed Roman? If so I was eyeballing the hell out of that axe - but ended up getting the mahogany soloist instead.

How did you refinish the rings in black? Did you buy 'em or you sprayed them over?

I just sanded the chrome with very fine paper,
2 coats of primer and 3 coats of matte black spray.

The guy I got it from bought it new at Piney Hills Music
the same day it arrived there. That's all I know.
Anyone else seen these around??
