  • Pickups for SL2?

Anyone have an opinion on what pickups (especially bridge) are good in an SL2 with a Floyd? I'm not totally digging the JB in there right now. The JB sounds great in my RR1 but it sounds a little two twangy and week in the SL2. I need a little more low end and mids.

My fav pickup so far. Dimarzio D-Sonic. but its not a very high output one though. Got a lot of low end and mids. Petrucci's pickup.

EDIT: but I never had them in a sl2. heck I dont even own a sl2. I am giving my opinion about them based on the Ibanez I had them in. Sounded killer thru my 5150.

Totally agree, I've used that combination in all of my guitars the past 15 years or so. Can't go wrong there...

+1. Make sure you wire it for 18 volts if you do. Huge difference.

And make sure the 85 is in the bridge and the 81 in the neck... it sounds better that way! Though, if staying passive, I still say the Tone Zone.
