it's not perfect; i can see part of the break seam, which i kinda expected. there's an area on the back where the paint sunk a little, but it's fine. i certainly don't plan on selling it again, so i'm fine with it. my son filmed the assembly the other night, which you can see here:

thanks peter! moreso, thank you so much for letting me know when you were ready to sell it, and being so awesome and doing all of that legwork with the insurance claim after it was damaged. you are a fine individual, sir. i never knew how much i missed that guitar until i started playing it again. i tell ya, it's such a great playing guitar and it will return to its original status of being one of my main players again.
