  • Limited Edition 88' USA

Hey all, I posted this underthe USA section because its my first USA jackson

But I thought I would put it up here to since it is what it is!
Bought this baby of craigslist for 550!!!

Its a 1988 Jackson USA LTD 88. In that cool blue jean color. 24 fret with 19-24 schalloped. pickups were upgraded from the junk active one that were it, the last owner also added a EMG preamp which makes it scream.

The body has a "spill way" behind the floyd were I heard that Grover was originally going to make this into a 12 String but changed his mind. either way looks pretty sick. kinda weird to is that it has a a Floyd trem with a Khaler locking nut?! but any way here's some pics!! let me know what all think!!!

that nut was standard with the JT-6 licensed trem. Check out the 87-88 Model series Charvels & the US Jacksons of the period

btw, this isn't really the purpose of this section of the forum. http://www.jcfonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28262

You were right to post this in the US Jacksons section first

A buddy of mine has one exactly like this....we use to call it the bowling ball. (we thought it looked like one)

They did use the Kahler(floyd style locking nut and not an after the nut)on late 88 and some 89s.

Very nice. I see I have to spend more time on Craigslist AND in pawn shops.

Looks like you got a great guitar at a killer price.

Just to confirm that you got it for a good price, there was one on the bay yesterday with a BIN of $695 that lasted all of 3 hours.
