  • One year ago today...[pic heavy]

the best guitar I've ever played arrived at my door. In the last year, I've had Anderson Drop Tops, Les Paul Customs, GMP Roxies, a Grosh, Fender Reissues, a couple others, dropped at my doorstep, and none of them hold a candle to this baby. [yeah, I know it's missing a string in the pic, as it arrived]

    The specs:

    Koa-Maple 9 pc neck
    Braz board
    Koa bod
    Spruce top
    bonenut, sperzels, wraparound bridge
    Duncan Custom 5

Here she is, proving that when the Jackson CS wants to, it can make a guitar that can compete with the best of them:

Here are pics of its making at the custom shop

I believe that is the best work that Pablo ever did. He should pursue those designs instead of the wacko one's he made for NAMM last summer. Awesome guitar! I was looking at that one too
Tone is like Art: Your opinion is valid. Listen, learn, have fun, draw your own conclusions.

I loved that guitar. In fact I messed with it at NAMM. I think the Spruce top did it for me. Well balanced guitar with a great body of sound.

I love the thick body on that, it must feel solid as hell.

Anyway, that sure is an interesting bridge, never seen one of those before, what kind is it?

I don't particularly care for the color, though I don't mind it either, but wow.... love the woods and configuration. Good job!

That is beautiful, congrats on such a fine axe. It must have monster tone with the thick archtop body.
