  • My first Made in USA Jackson!! Lots of pics!!

My first Made in USA jackson arrived in the weekend. I have been waiting for a year to make this purchase and I am so glad I did!! Its unbelievable!! More surprising is that I got it from eBay. Anyway, here are some pics...

    The package...

My daughter can't wait to see the guitar... but looks like she's interested more in the latches than the guitar.

and there it is...2004 SL2HT Cherry burst !!

The finish is amazing. There is not a single flaw. I am glad I struck gold. What's awesome is that the logo Jackson shows "J...on" in one angle and "acks" in one angle. Anyone else noticed it in the'r guitars? I tried hard to take a pic, but couldn't. This pic below shows the "acks" angle.

    neck-thru

    Pointy! ...to die for

Cherry burst in all its glory!! I always jump on the "SD sh4 JB basher" band-wagon. But the sh4 in this guitar just sounds beyond incredible. I was planning on swapping out the stock SD's with EMG's but now I am convinced that I dont need to. And the neck-thru have better sustain myth is true !!! I could not believe the sustain on this baby. I could count over 10 secs. The SL2HT thru my GT-8 just sounds like heaven!! The same set of pups on my DK2T sounds like shit.

pics do not do justice to the real thing.

    and finally...

hope you enjoyed the show !!

Congats! That is a nice guitar.

You will be heaven for a long time. I remember when I bought my first USA, I was thrilled. I had waited 16 years.

                Congrats!!! What a beauty!

And it is string-thru in cherry sunburst, just like my Archtop Pro... great choice. You got way better flame on the top though!

Congratulations! Play the heck out of it!

The difference in sustain might not be just an effect of the neckthru construction versus your bolt-on DK2T... it also depends on the quality of materials and workmanship, as far as I´ve seen.
