  • Neck Relief...Not much available.

Do any of you guys notice that the USA Jackson's acquire very little neck relief? I notice on both of my Soloists that I can basically fully looses the truss rod and the neck only gets very little neck relief. Not that it is a bad thing, but it is something that a friend and I noticed... my friend has about 5 or 6 Jacksons, everything from King V's to RR's to Soloists.

Sounds like you might have 9 gauge strings on there? I put 10's on mine and of course they pull the neck in a bit more.

Jackson set up says, start with a straight neck no relief.

I still like a little relief for tone reasons.

It all depends on the guitar and how it plays

Have you tried installing an RS kit?

RS kits are decent wiring upgrade kits. They are also good at small things like babysitting children, washing dishes, etc......and bigger things like aligning the planets, creating world peace, etc. They are only most effective at such tasks after a 20 minute break-in period

If they accomplish all of that, I thought they might be good for neck relief problems as well.
