Any Canadians here? Market value of a PC-1?

They are pretty rare in Canada, so I can't really apply ebay prices to them.

Any Canadians wanna take a guess on what a used one in good - mint condition is worth?

Average used price is roughly $1,200 to $1,600 US.

There are some of us who will pay a little extra for an original Koa body 1996 PC1.
They are hard to find.

Not sure of the year. But it's not a strathead, so I'm guessing pre Fender?

But seriously this is the first time I've seen one in Canada.

The seller is local and asking for $1600 cdn, (not that its much of a difference with the exchange rate these day). Maybe I should just drive to Buffalo.

Generally, the strathead guitars (newer) get higher prices than the 'sears' headstock ones...

The Strat head appeared in early 2006. The older headstock was also under Fender and of course pre-Fender.

There were three version of the "Sears" headstock as well.
The 1996 version

and then the 1997 "thing"

and then the 1998 through 2004 version.

The Strathead came mid 2005 and is shown in the 2005 catalog.
Not to mention that 1997 was the last year you could buy a PC1 with a Koa body. In 1998, Koa was dropped.

Yeah.. the 97 headstock was due to Fender complaining that the 96 was too close to the Strat head stock.
Funny... Fender didn't have any issue with the shape when it was on the Charvel SD reissues.
Once it got a Jackson logo, they bitched.

I have a 97 PC1 neck and the shape is not as bad as the catalog pic shows.
But it is smaller than my 2004 PC1 buy a few millimeters.
