Friend wants to sell me a 1985 San Dimas Kelly...

I have no idea what it's worth so I don't know if his asking price is in line with reality or not.

USA Kelly. Red with black bevels. Neck pickup is not stock. 3-way blade switch. 3-knob setup with one being the Jackson active mid-boost knob. Hum Hum pup config. Kahler trem. Condition is almost time capsule worthy. A conservative 9.25 out of 10 with respect to cosmetics and yes it sounds good. Neck back shape is DIVINE! J11XX serial number. Hard to believe it is 22 years old. Only has a couple of small surface scratches.

Yep, GC paid $800 for it. They didn't mark up the price too bad. Really nice piece for someone who wants it. I actually meant to put this thread up on Wed which is when I was told me about it, just never clicked post topic. It was traded on Friday I think.

I went up there Sunday to check it out (like I need another guitar ) and I did not see it. I asked a sales guy and he said it was on lay away. Anyone here get it?
