I know one of them is the PD1 Phil Demmel model, which I'm looking forward to.
Not a huge machine head fan, but that is way friggin cooler than the Razorback V, plus if it comes with EMG's and a real Floyd .. sheeeeiiiit! I am all over that like a fat man on Popeyes! I mean really, waht is Dean thinking with a set neck (not thru) a crappy dean neck pup and a horrible licensed trem for over a grand??? Even the ltd's have real floyds!
Plus, who says everything has to be neck through? Remember, the original V that all these guitars are based on was set-neck... What was Jackson thinking with the neck through?
I agree that the Deans could be cheaper for where they're made, though. (China). But other than that the specs are pretty up to scratch I reckon.
The Deans are very expensive, especially for where they're made. They're asking 1000-1200 for Chinese made guitars and 3600 for USA's. Dean Zelinsky's outta his mind.

this is a quote from Dean Z at DOA (dean owners of america) 2005
"we make are money in korea, but we make are guitars in the USA"
or thats the general idea
i am on the dean forum aswell
also, dean's imports aren't particularly up to scratch, they expect quite a bit of money for an import that isn't as good, quality wise, as an import that esp or jackson would give you for the same price. i.e no floyd, stock dean pickup, no ebony board, crappy (and i mean crappy) fret jobs.
Be nice, he's speaking "REAL" English!!! I think if the razorback V came in around $699 I'd be all over one. They play fairly well, just not $1200 well. I also have no problem with set neck guitars, I love the original gibson V's and own 2 SGX's (24 fret SG = DOPE!!!) I just think for an import guitar, they are outta their gourds.
Now, to fully demonstrate my myspace naivety: to see jacksonguitarsusa pictures, do you have to have an account and then request they become your friend? If so, is there anything worth seeing in their gallery?!
Thanks.
No to see the pictures you have to be signed on as a member, they don't have to be your friend. The only time when you have to be friends with someone is when they set everything to private then you can't see anything
In the future though I need to remember to not buy guitars while on Nyquil
