I was just oggling the gallery pics, and guess what? My exact guitar is listed under the "strats". Serial number 7203, once owned by "hal". Hal, are you out there? It's a small world!
BTW, this guitar has an ebony fretboard. Is that common for USA Jacksons?
Sorry for all the questions. I've been into Fender, Gibson, and several other brands for the past several years, but this is my first Jackson, and I'm trying to get my bearings here...
Not planning to sell anytime in the near future. Still in the honeymoon period. Only time will tell if she's a keeper. My son (age 14) says it's the coolest looking guitar I own. Reminds him of the Carolina Panthers.
Jackson don't answer questions about older guitars anymore, since the FMIC take over, if not before. Difficult to say without pics, but current value is probably 600-900, depending on condition and specs...
This is a 1987 San Dimas plated Ontario Custom Jackson. This ones plate # is 3744. There is no real way to determine anything other than this. If it is all original and it is indeed an 89' it will have the MADE IN USA logo out on the end of the N in Jackson and the tuners should be Jackson logo'd and the screws are straight out. The San Dimas Jackson have MADE IN USA under the N and the screws on the tuners are at a 45 deg angle and are blank. It is anyones guess about pickups because most if not all were made to order. My guitar as a cream and black SD in it originally.
Here is he guitar.
Newbie here! I just bought a custom shop Jackson Dinky Reverse with a bolt-on neck and a 4 digit serial number starting with 72**. According to the Jackson site, this is a 1989 model.
Is there a way to contact Jackson directly for the specs and history of this guitar? Also, how would I find out what it originally cost and what its current value is?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Are you sure it is a dinky body and not a super strat? I wasn't aware the dinky was available in 1989.
