  • All is ready for my custom but...

Would it be wise to wait until the price comes to normal before I order?

Will they ever come to normal?... I won't pay $8,000 bucks for this guitar... that's stupid.

Waiting for a price cut? Sorry, but don't hold your breath. Not gonna happen.

By a used Jackson custom shop - it's the only way to get a normal, "affordable by a musician" price.

Sorry, but Gibson and Jackson and Fender...only cater to investors and guitar collectors. They know if they drive up the (MAP) selling price, that drives up the used guitar market, and guitars everywhere get more expensive. That way new guitars don't "appear" to be that much more. Look at GC. They try buying up the entire used / classic amp market so that they can corner the market and jack up the prices. I see about 30 classic Fender/Gibson amps in my local GC. WTF do they have so many? To take them out of cirulation (reduce suppy), and jack up the price so that the few remaining amps on the market get driven up by demand. Get Queensryche's Operation Mindcrime. The almighty dollar rules everybodies lives. Who can you trust when everyone's a crook? :ROTF:

      Sorry for the rant.

I can't see what you want coming down in price as it's too specialised. I have heard that various options may drop back down to teambuilt, but something like an archtop Rhoads will be MB all the time that they distinguish the option pricing like that...
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

Finally... yeah, 8 grand for a guitar which probably costed 5 grand at the most some months ago.

I can't get tired of my story... a "simple" customized KV-2 costed 3 grand. After the price increase, it costed almost 6 grand...

Now that's a shame. Get a RICO JR Vixen !

Very nice website... Exactly the guys I'm looking for !

Would they do an exact copy?

You know guys? I have a very evil idea

What if I told "Ran" to make the exact copy I want and tell them: "Don't put your logo on the headstock"

go with an underground luthier and tell him to place the "Jackson" logo in mother of pearl

                    would this idea work?

Ran is not that cheap anymore. And they're a better deal for us Europeans. Importing it into USA means big shipping cost and lots of customs taxes and with the current weak dollar it's better if you order a Jackson CS...if they get it right .

EDIT: How about a Jackson Stars Custom Shop?

but still you will know it's fake, and also don't forget the real thing has better resale value
                        Because I don't say it
                        Doesn't mean I ain't thinking it

I wouldn't be at peace knowing it's fake... U_U you are right... I NEED a real Jackson CS Made in the USA

I guess I'll have to get all the money together to make this work. I'll have to wait some months for ordering it.

Isn't there a way to make it easier? Some short payments or something like that? Using a Credit Card or something?

Is it true that a CS Jackson has lifetime guarantee?

Yes, it's hard to go back for an import if you once smelled the sweetness of a USA Jackson

Does everyone's case smell like toffies or is it just mine? I'm not sure whether you're being literal, but my US Jackson case smells lush

                              Yes, I only have 1
