You guys all saw it, and it's now cleaned up. Past owner was a chain smoker who never used a guitar polish in his life, but it's all pretty shined up now...Dual EMG's, JT-590 Schaller/Jackson, reverse head, neck through, and DR Red strings:

Awesome! You can't beat a black KV w/EMGs, reverse headstock, and.........real jumbo frets! Congrats.

Very, very nice. I hadn't given much thought to the colored strings before but seeing them on a pure black KV is making me re-consider. Might look good on my black Fusion too

Thanks for posting her. She's a beauty.

That's the one from eBay, a week or two ago, right? If so, you got yourself a nice deal!

Very sharp! I love the painted logos on the old USA's. The red strings are a nice touch to. Congrats!
I feel festive all year round. Deal with it.

Thanks, all. It was the 11th "J" serial number of 1992. Strange that only 50 Customs were built that year with "J" serials. Only one Archtop was made then and a handful of Rhoads too. This King V has the 1989 "halfway" recess for the tremolo.

Perfect! It's like my zebra KV but without the stripes.

                    Congrats! That was a steal!

                      Guitar looks great!

I absolutely hate the strings though.
