  • Factory Question

    Hey Guys,

    Anyone know how many people work in the Jackson USA factory? Mostly I wanted to know if it is common to have a couple of Jackson USA guitars made by the same people? I have to RR1s and they are all initialed by the same people on the Jackson card. I'm assuming the initials are for their names though, please correct me if I am wrong. Anyway, just wanted some insight into this.

    Thanks for the feedback

    If my memory is correct and the process hasn't changed drastically in the past few years, they build guitars of a certain style (Soloist, Rhoads, etc.) in batches. In addition, the Jackson shop isn't really all that big. It's very possible that the same people built both guitars.

      Yeah,ive seen other Charvel San Dimas "Final Inspection" tags with same initials too,as well as Jackson.
      Here is mine :
      Neck dress = J.C
      Assembly = im
      Wiring = RB or LB?
      Set-Up = ss
      Final Inspection = K.G date 11/14/05

      Id like to know who K.G is? Anyone?

        those are the same initials that are on both of mine. I guess there are only really a very limited amount that get made as well as amount of workers in the factory. It's interesting to also look at the work order numbers because they seem to give you some insight into how many are made in a month.
        Thanks for the response guys

          Are those initials of builders, or inspectors?
          In a previous life, I was a process and final assembly
          inspector for M249"s and M16's. My stamp would go
          on those I inspected and passed. Certainly didn't
          build them much.

            Under the barrel M249 or full butt stock M249?
            Spent many hours with a CAR 15.
            Really? well screw Mark Twain.

              I worked the "barrel" line for 249, final assembly for the M16.
              Filled in on final assemby of both, obviously couldn't stamp
              those ones. Found several thousand bent M16 barrels one time.
              I went through the gages, double checked with scope & air,
              Found one of the stations had passed all of them. Yikes....
              at least they were re-workable.
