Well, if everyone else can get away with these posts, so can I.

I'm sick of being restricted to imports, so I'm gonna scrimp and save for my first USA, which naturally, would have to be a Warrior. It'll take approx 4-6 months to save up, but dammit, I'm gonna have one. The alternative would be to buy two imports and swap necks and hardware. And I'm not going the Custom Shop route either. Too expensive.

To get an idea as to precisely which WR1 I'm going for, can WR1 owners out there post some pix please?

The WR1 did have raw necks pre-Fender. I'm not sure when it changed exactly, but they are all painted necks now IIRC. Mine was made before the buyout, so it is a raw neck. I don't know for sure whether roodyrocker's limited was before or after.

The Blood drip Warrior was a limited edition run by Matt from OnlineStageGear right around the time of the Fender buyout if I recall. Matt specified the unfinished neck and they were supposed to build a run of 10 of them. Not sure what happened but as I understand it, only 3 of the 10 were built. Mine is #3. Remcarr owns #2 and I know #1 about a year ago ended up back at Matt and was for sale on the website.

This is my 2004 post-Fender but pre-Corona WR1. It also has an oiled neck, which was standard at the time. I replaced the stock Invader/Full Shred with a Custom Custom/Pearly Gates for more versatility and less brutality, and set it up for 10 gauge strings. Also I move the volume knob to the tone position and removed the tone on account of the hellish knob placement on WR-1's (modded after this pic was taken).
