  • Neck at KV v Y2KV?

    How are the necks of the KV and the Y2KV compared to each other?
    I have an Y2KV, and love the neck. Thinking about gettting a KV in time, but haven't gotten the chance to play one, so have no idea how the neck is...

    I will have to check and compare my KV2's and Y2KV to be sure, but I believe they have the same neck profile and frets. The RR has a different neck profile and jumbo frets. They feel bulky to me. I prefer the tall thin frets of the Y2KV and the KV2's. If you love your Y2KV, I believe you will have the same affection for a KV2.

      Correct - Y2KV and KV2 have the exact same neck dimensions. The "speed" neck profile.

        This sound perfect
        Then I guess I will go for an KV as my next guitar, since the prices on the Y2KV out there are insanely high.

              isn`t the dk2 neck even thinner than a speedneck?

              ke2 / kv2/ wr1 = .775 (3rd fret ) .835 (12th )
              rr1 / sl1 / sl2 = .790 .890
              dk2 = .735 .810

              am i wrong?
