Custom King V question?

I am looking in to getting a Custom KingV there is an option of a scalloped Heal or Horn. What is a scalloped horn or heal and would it look good with a flamed maple top?

Neither of those options applies to a King V.

The scalloped horn refers to a bevelled area at the front of the lower cutaway. This is common on Fusions, but also available on some Dinkys.

The scalloped heel is an area around the back of the neck joint that is about 1/4" thinner than the rest of the body.

Both these features supposedly make it easier to play on the upper frets.

Nothing.

Like I said, neither of these options even apply to a King V anyway.

I think you can get a scalloped heel on the King V... it would just be a scooped area where you could access the higher frets easier, like on this Warrior.

As long as in case of KV the strap pin is placed at the heel, I doubt scalloping would improve the balance.

Thanks for informing me on this. And as for what it had to do with the top, I had no idea what a scalloped heel or horn were thats why I asked if it would effect the top.
