No bevels - it will have body binding. I (lamely) tried to emulate this with an ivoroid color.

Pat: I went with purple. My FAV color is blue too. I think that blue looks like a "standard" color,Purple on the other hand looks like a custom color and my #6989 has a purpleish hue to it,so +1 for purple.

I love purple, but the blue on a KV looks better to me and I'm not one to fuss about color's either. I can't see the guitar when I'm playing anyhow

Nope. Going "old school" with this one - black headstock with original gold script-style logo.

Not a bad idea, but I'd prefer a solid color for this one. For the record, Sapphire Blue is a mixed hue, kind of in between blue and purple - the blue is a little more dominant, though. Hard to show with the CS generator and kind of hard to show in photos, too.

As much as I want to vote for blue... I'd have to have black hardware with it. The purple works better with the gold bits.

Pat, my vote is for the blue one. I like the contrast of the ivory binding, no bevels and blue color (like my kelly).
