  • What model is this?

    Hi guys.

Sorry for the noob question, but this is the first time I've seen a soloist in a hum - single config.

Can some one give me more info on it.

It's for sale locally. Would you say $500 is a reasonable price? Thats what his asking.

    Thanks .....

I'd say $500 would be a killer price for it.

    It's a custom shop soloist.

Yeah, if that's as clean as it looks, 500 bucks is a steal!

Dam I should have jumped on this earlier!

I had no idea it was a custom. I though it was student model or something.

        Hope its still around today.

        Wish me luck.

        Thanks guys.

Even a "Student" Soloist for $500 would be a good deal. The only difference was the lack of sharks, a rosewood vs. ebony board, and...well, I think that's the only difference. But a USA Jackson Soloist is worth $500 no matter what, and yes, that's a Custom Shop for sure.

Ah shame you didn't get that.

That has all the fixins of a good fiddle. H/S, Reverse, a floyd.

Ahaha, that was in Toronto. I saw that and was like, 'if only...'

It was particularly crazy for me--a few years ago, I saw a similar ad. Except mine's black, has the normal headstock, and is an '89.

                          EDIT: $500

I like it. I've got a Fender with an OFR on it, and it could just be because it's been broken in, but I prefer the feel of the Jackson trem. Though the guy who had it before me banged it around like a cheap date, so the sleeve for the trem arm gets loose if the arm spins around at all.
