  • Choosing a finish for a USA Select

Fully paid by end-Jan, I'll be ordering a WR-1. But I still seem to be undecided on the finish. I've given up on looking for one on ebay. They just don't appear (and even when they do, they are "post to USA only". No-one will sell me a black Warrior Pro; which leaves one option - buy a new WR1 from my local retailer. I don't like chrome hardware (which isn't cheap to replace), and I don't like plain red or white or two-colour schemes (Red with black bevels for example). I might just settle for plain black, but that seems like just settling for less. (big sigh). Help me out. Which finish would you recommend?

Silver Swirl was a really cool finish. Not sure if it's still offered, though. Lightning Sky would be cool, too. Kinda reminiscent of Dime's Dean, with the Warrior's shape being along those lines. Otherwise, I'd get Snow White, though I realize you said you didn't like plain white.

If you are going to spend the money, spend the extra money and get what you like (and not what other people are telling you to get). If you settle for a black, you might lose interest in it or regret not getting a color/graphic that you really like.

You cant go wrong with the lightning graphics. Its anyway over a black background. best of both worlds.

I wonder why don't you buy one from some of the dealers on this site? They'd all be pretty much more than happy to sell one, even across the pond. And you'll get it cheaper even with all the taxes and shipping .

The question is getting the money to them. I don't have a proper bank account. I just pay my mum the cash, she uses her paypal account to pay for goods on ebay. I don't think she'd wanna phone the USA.

He's ordering a new WR1, and you guys are recommending finishes that aren't even availble on it anymore. See here:

Crafted with the demands of the discernible player in mind, Jackson guitars give you the shapes, finishes and tones you love. From the venerable Rhoads, Soloist, Warrior and more, shop Jackson for the highest performance.

I haven't seen the new Quicksilver color, but that might be cool.

You may be thinking about Silver Swirl, which was discontinued. I haven't even seen any pics of Quicksilver yet.

Black Ghost Flames (BKGF) looks great on a WR1
