I can't believe Danastas let that one go. Incredible looking guitar and with those tone woods I bet it sounds as good as it looks. Congrats.

Wow, beautiful guitar but Pablo must have been hitting the tequila a bit too hard. He completely messed up the bridge placement. Check out the eBay photos. The bridge is way too tilted and can barely be intonated(if it even can at all).

Are you familiar with how those types of bridges?? They mount the bridge at a variety angels to make SURE it intonates. Not sure what the formula is, but that is normal. And I think it can be intonated as two members here have owned it and played it

I assure you the intonation is flawless. And the tone is to die for. Best guitar I own, and I have some nice ones.

Very nice indeed. Congrats Partial @ Marshall. I was eyeing that one too. Tried to convince myself to pull the trigger. Next time.

It's supposed to be that way. Ever seen a guitar with a TOM bridge? It's angled that way, too, but typically has a stop tailpiece. This bridge is just a bridge/tailpiece in one. The lower strings need to be farther back to intonate than the higher ones, and you'll notice the saddles on any guitar bridge will be like that.

                  WELCOME TO MY FIRST POST!!!

                  Why here???

                  I bought this guitar!

how's that for a first post? It is every bit as awesome as the pics. The spruce top is so clear in voice that I have had to practice technique again. Every note stands out! Great low end too! First gig with it tonight...Stoked!
Hell, I would have payed as much for a new soloist so why not.

Thanks for all the kind words, this guitar is so sweet. It was totally worth my wife killing me over the purchase.

according to the spec sheet, it's a Techtonic 5.0. Only bridge I could find on google with that name is a Fender.
                        Hail yesterday

Yeah I tried to find this fender bridge to put on a few builds with no luck. The closest is the gotoh 510, and I think I like the gotoh better, easy to install and sounds great. The price ain't too bad either.

Stewmac has the 510 as a completley different bridge...careful. Wow holy resurected ancient thread! This Jackson still rules by the way!

the PRS fixed bridge looks very similar too and can be bought as a spare

Any wraparound bridge with an 82mm spread should be cool. There are quite a few manufacturers out there making pretty much the same thing. Not sure if the gotoh is aluminum or steel if it matters. Aluminum is supposed to have better tone transfer. If you go this route with this bridge the pickup you will need is a trem spaced pickup...a $70 error on my part . Oh well I'll find something else to put it in.
