  • Pics of my nude PC1

My 1997 PC1 came today thanks to Wayniac!

Naturally I tore it apart in preparation of a complete rebuild. There is just something about older guitars that you know have been played hundreds of hours on stage. Just can't fake that kind of MOJO!

Even got a line on a sustainer unit so this baby will be looking and playing like stock soon enough!

Lots of elbow grease to get the gold hardware looking like that again!

So which sustainer unit are you going with?
The FSK-401 or a Stealth Plus?

I "may" have a line on an original factory unit. Given that all that seems to be missing is the neck sustainer unit, I would prefer that rather than rip out the whole board and start from scratch.

Time will tell how that works out!

How are you going to fix the gold wear?

I have a few extra parts kicking around. Besides the Floyd alone cleaned up really nice thanks to some metal polish that I used.

Screws and tuners are inexpensive to replace anyhow.
