Hey this might have been asked before but I couldn't find it. A few months ago I tried to put EMG's in my KV2 but they didn't fit. Now I want to know if EMG's will fit in my new KV2T or will the hole be to small?

what part was too small? the rout for the actual pickup? that seems very odd, since there are plenty of KVs in the world with EMGs in there....

EMGs have bigger 'corners' than other pickups (i.e. they're more square) and if a guitar is routed for standard pickups, the EMG will foul the route at the said corners.
To be honest, on a standard guitar, I can't see a problem making the corners right angles rather than the standard curve. I've done it on at least one of my guitars...Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

Common problem in metalworking.
Just gently heat up the interfering area with a...oh, wait.
Nevermind.
It's in the guitar from the previous buyer. I just tried to get it out to see what the pickup was and it would move. They even chipped the paint getting it in.Last edited by Rich#6; 01-17-2008, 07:08 AM.
