  • What are wait times nowadays?

I was toying with the idea of ordering a Custom, but the wait times kind of concerned me... I probably wouldn't order anything crazy, just a soloist in RGF (Maybe an Archtop), but I don't know if I could wait 24 months on a single guitar :ROTF: Also, what could I expect to pay?

I'm on 16 months for my current order. Which is kind of odd cos I'm hearing from various sources that the custom shop staff have fuck all to do....

Pricing is aparently coming down for CS orders as well as production stuff. But the new pricing structure is not officially announced as yet.
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

Sounds interesting. I'll be sure to wait on ordering until I heat about this.

Personally I would not go through the expense and wait for "just" the graphic. I'd go for at least one woodworking change (H-S-H, or maple board with black fins).

It's a lot cheaper and faster to get a plain black or natural SL1 or SL2H and have someone else refinish it.
I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

Well, one of the things I would probably do is Maltese (not Iron) Cross inlays if they were available, along with a Mahogany/Body neck, and have it be an ArchTop. Otherwise I was entertaining just buying a beat up one and having it refinished, which honestly is still a possible compromise.

Well, I've spec'd out 2 (technically 3). Number 1 and 2 are the ones I'm debating about, and number 3 is just thrown in for grins (literally dreamed it up ). I have not ironed out the specs yet with a dealer, so if there are any foreseeable issues let me know. Anyway, lets get on with it

                  - I was thinking maybe have the lightning bolt-esque design from it running the length of the neck and on the back, with the same kind of bolt on the HS
