I own both and they are very different beasts. The KV2 is my guitar for drop C and death metal but I must say I use the KV2T for everything else. I personally like the 24.75 scale and like the fixed bridge. The KV2T is brighter that the KV2.Jackson KV2T Black Ghost Flames with EMG's

I've also thought about a KV2T but have never seen one in person to try out. I've played a KV2 and really liked everything about it except the damn tall, thin frets (and I'm not 100% sure I want a Floyd). Does the KV2T have real jumbos?Unleash the fury.....Texas style!

My KV2T and my KV2 are my 2 main players and are TOTALLY different. Both excellent but if you've played one, you won't have any idea about the other. The KV2 neck is flatter with the smaller fretwire with a tighter string feel like of a 25 1/2 scale guitar. The KV2T neck is a little rounder with JUMBO frets and a looser easier stretch 24 3/4 scale. The KV2 has a good bright tone/growl and is quite capable of sweet crisp clean tones, whereas the KV2T has those qualities with a little more of that "Les Paulish" bottom with brutal chunk and very warm crystal clean tones.

I love both equally, but the KV2T is easier to play. If you do a lot of stretches, the frets on the KV2T are an easier reach. Hope that helps...Transitioning from Retired Musician from cover bands to a Full time vocalist/frontman/guitarist in an original and covers band....it's been a while and this should get NASTY!
