  • KV2 vs KV2t

Hey guys im seriously considering pickup up a KV2t but i have never played one or even seen one in person . I have played a KV2 and i know the spec differences . I just would like to know how they compare, in terms of sound, and playability, from ppl who have one or have played both . thanks

I own both and they are very different beasts. The KV2 is my guitar for drop C and death metal but I must say I use the KV2T for everything else. I personally like the 24.75 scale and like the fixed bridge. The KV2T is brighter that the KV2.

      KV2T - rawks hard!
      KV2 - rawks hard, too!

I've also thought about a KV2T but have never seen one in person to try out. I've played a KV2 and really liked everything about it except the damn tall, thin frets (and I'm not 100% sure I want a Floyd). Does the KV2T have real jumbos?

I was hoping it had the medium jumbo.... on a 24.75 scale with 24 jumbo frets ??

The fixed bridge on the KV2T is really comfortable to rest your hand against.

I played one a few months ago, very nice guitar.

My KV2T and my KV2 are my 2 main players and are TOTALLY different. Both excellent but if you've played one, you won't have any idea about the other. The KV2 neck is flatter with the smaller fretwire with a tighter string feel like of a 25 1/2 scale guitar. The KV2T neck is a little rounder with JUMBO frets and a looser easier stretch 24 3/4 scale. The KV2 has a good bright tone/growl and is quite capable of sweet crisp clean tones, whereas the KV2T has those qualities with a little more of that "Les Paulish" bottom with brutal chunk and very warm crystal clean tones.

I love both equally, but the KV2T is easier to play. If you do a lot of stretches, the frets on the KV2T are an easier reach. Hope that helps...

I like the body wood and bridge on the KV2T, I like the inlays, headstock and the neck of the KV2 better.

I would love that, thats what I wanted anyway, but I can't afford the 2,000 extra to get a stringthru instead of a OFR
