Hoping that customs and tax bill is low, it was posted to me with a $200 value so im guessing it will cost them more to send me a letter than collect duties from me:ROTF:

About the customs, here in Turkey, you can't have the item unless you pay all the duties. The customs fee are way too high but the main problem imho is the "pain in the ass" customs procedures. You have to complete many unnecessary and time consuming things to get the item.

I've imported into the UK before and I got my guitar delivered about a month before the taxman cometh.

On the guitars I have imported into the UK, both DHL and FedEx have sent the bill after delivering the guitars, but on the one the post office got involved with I had to pay 1st.

That's one of the nicest lightnings I've ever seen. Very cool. Here in Canada, there is no way in hell you would get the guitar until you payed all the duty/brokerage/etc. Our government doesn't trust us.
