  • RR1 Floyd Rose model

Hey, I'm new here. I'm thinking (pretty much certain) to get a RR1 in black as my graduation present. I have a question, is the Original Floyd Rose on the RR1 made by Schaller (Made in Germany)? I tried looking all over the .net but no luck. One more question, do the 10 gauge strings work well for the Dimebag divebombs and squeals? Or is it better on the 9 gauge?

OFR (Original Floyd Rose) trems are made by Schaller. One exception are the OFR's on the Chinese built Floyd Rose guitars. Those are actually made in China.

As for the dive bombs... that's a skill thing, not a string thing.
    I've seen guys do it on 8's, 9's, 10's and even 11's.

to add some clarity if needed...although it's probably not.

RJ is right as usual- OFR=Schaller made. But there's also the Schaller Floyd Rose. Different animal. Fits in smaller routes.

The RR1, as RJ said, comes with the OFR.

As far as Dimebag squeals, as the man said himself, lean on that sum bitch till she's flappin like spagetti, then get yer pull on

          go for 9's

i used 10s for other guitars without even considering going thinner, but after getting jacksons ive found 9s are the way, especially on these huge frets.
10s just feel to tight and that low E doesnt feel right.

Just my view but give both a try if you arent sure.
