For real. I just got my pickup rings, backplate, and custom truss rod cover from Dave (Budman). I put everything together last night, re-wired everything with CTS pots, and here she is.
Sorry Ron, the only full guitar shot I took came out blurry. I was going to do some outdoor shots in the fresh snow, but it's still coming down.
Extra special thanks to Dave. The bridge pickup ring had to be custom made because it's extra thick, and Dave had never done a KV1 control cavity cover before, so he made that specially too. The truss rod cover is also very obviously custom, and IMHO looks fucking SWEET!
The pickups are a Duncan Custom in the bridge, and '59 in the neck with covers. I think they look much cleaner like this.
Please, no comments on my dirty carpet. That is where the cats hang out. It was vacuumed yesterday evening. Anyone with long haired cats will understand.
